The Colchester East Hants After School Committee is recruiting After School Program Leaders for the 2024 fall session. Recreation departments from five municipalities in Colchester East Hants are partnering with the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education to deliver fun, interactive programs in eleven schools within the region.
About the role: After School Program Leaders play a strong role in the design, promotion, and delivery of After School Programs for youth age ranges very from 7-14. The Programs are physical activity-focused, with elements of play, self-leadership, and teamwork. The Programs are based on outdoor play, games, skill building and nature awareness activities. These positions require individuals who are interested in learning new skills around youth engagement and delivering quality programs, promoting an active lifestyle.
Salary: $16.50/hour

OHS Coordinator - Closing October 1, 2024

The Municipality of Colchester is hiring an OHS Coordinator.
About the role: The OHS Coordinator is responsible for all Health and Safety functions for the Municipality. The position is responsible for leading the OHS Committee and related activities, coordinating OHS programming and training, all investigations and inspections, maintaining OHS data, managing Worker’s Compensation Board cases, ensuring compliance with OHS legislation, overseeing OHS policies, and addressing all OHS concerns and inquires. Travel between facilities within the Municipality of Colchester will be required.
Salary Range: $71,349 – $82,743 based on a 35-hour work week. Full-time permanent position.

Water Utility Manager - Closing Friday, September 20

The Municipality of Colchester is hiring a Water Utility Manager.
About the role: The Water Utility Manager reports to the Director of Public Works and is responsible for the overall operations of the water utilities in Debert and Tatamagouche. The manager has primary responsibility for operational control of the wells, plants, towers and distribution systems, including process management, quality monitoring, regulatory reporting, preventative maintenance, future planning, budget development and control, and employee oversight.
Salary range: $79,883- $92,640 based on 40 hours per week.
