Photo Submission Disclaimer

All photos submitted must be original work captured by the submitter using a camera or mobile device. Computer-generated images, AI-generated images, and images created using AI image generation tools (like DALL-E, Midjourney, or similar) are not eligible for submission.

No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

The Municipality of Colchester reserves the right to reject any submission that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated terms.

By submitting a photo, the submitter authorizes its use for promotional purposes by the Municipality, exercising its absolute discretion, including but not limited to social media, website, newsletters, and advertisements for the benefit of the Municipality.

The Municipality agrees that the photo is received on a non-exclusive basis and that it will not provide copies of the work to any third party unless it is a contractor retained by the Municipality for work to be carried out for the Municipality.

The Municipality will credit photographers for the use of their photos submitted however no monetary or other forms of compensation will be paid.
