Wade Parker is serving his second term as Councillor in District 11. Currently Wade serves as a member on the Business and Economic Development Advisory Committee, the Liaison and Oversight Committee for the REN Board, the Joint Police Advisory Board and works with the Village of Bible Hill on shared projects.
Wade was raised and currently resides in District 11 with his wife Cathy. He has two children, Lindsay Parker (33), and Chad Parker (29).
Wade graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre and is a Red Seal Technician in the Auto Body Trade. He previously worked as a Correctional Officer for 20 years at the Colchester County Correctional Centre. He then became self-employed, running two businesses. Currently, he still owns and operates Parker's Bailiff Services, and is the Manager of Pye's Collision Center.
Wade has been awarded the Provincial Volunteer of the Year and the Pettigrew Recreation Leadership Awards for his involvement in winning the title of Hockeyville for Salmon River, NS. He is also the founder and board member of the Salmon River Hockey Society, an organization focusing on placing underprivileged children into hockey in Colchester County.
Wade looks forward tocontinuing his duties as County Councillor for District 11 and serving on committees to help Colchester County prosper.
About District 11
District 11 is mainly residential and, like the other districts in the central core, has an ever expandng population. It is comprised of the southern region of Valley and the southestern section of the Village of Bible Hill.
This region is home to the Bible Hill Recreation Park, one of the largest parks in the area. This park features several baseball diamonds and a large playground. It is also the centre of the largest Canada Day celebrations in Colchester.

Is comprised of a portion of the Communities of Bible Hill and Valley.
