Congratulations to all of our 2016 winners! Everyone who has taken part in the Step into Spring Program, you're all winners - you've strived and broken the many barriers of physical fitness.

Colchester Recreation would like to thank everyone who participated this year, and we hope that you will continue to track your step counts and join us again in 2017!

What is Step into Spring?

Get ready to boost your current physical activity level and step up your fitness this spring with Colchester Recreation's eight week walking program. It's an easy and fun way to motivate you to get moving! The Step into Spring program started 8 years ago, as a spin off to the Mayor's Challenge which encouraged Colchester residents to increase their physical activity levels through various leisure and recreational opportunities, as well as daily lifestyle choices.

Simple and fun, the Step into Spring 10,000 Steps program is a great way to boost your current physical activity level and motivate you to get moving and Step into Spring!

The Step into Spring walking program involves wearing a pedometer, recording your daily step counts and submitting your weekly total to Colchester Recreation by email (preferably) or phone. A $10 program registration fee gets you a Stepscount pedometer, reusable bag, clip on LED light flasher, walking tips, and more.

Registration for 2017 will begin in March 2017 (stay tuned for date).
