Fundy Discovery Site |
Wind Turbine Development By-Law Review |
The recent acquisition of the former Palliser Restaurant and Motel property has prompted the Municipality of Colchester to explore and develop a comprehensive master plan for the site. We consider the former Palliser site to be a significant location to act as a gateway to the Bay of Fundy to promote the many and varied experiences that the Bay has to offer visitor and resident alike.

Debert Business Park |
Former Salmon River School Property |
Debert Business Park is one of Colchester’s greatest economic drivers and is home to over 50 diverse businesses. From manufacturing and fabrication to distribution and hospitality, Debert Business Park has the flexibility, infrastructure, and customizable solutions to support any business, on any scale. The Municipality is working to promote and develop the park and it’s many offerings; it’s central Atlantic Canada location, strategic partnership opportunities, an advanced transportation network and a vibrant and collaborative business environment. |
The former Salmon River Elementary School property was acquired by the County after the school closed in 2008 and request for proposals was conducted in 2009 with none received. The property was leased to RCMP for training in 2012 and retained for potential future use by the Municipality. The school was demolished in 2017 and has been vacant for several years with some local recreational use. In 2021, the Municipality began to do some light maintenance of the property. Staff have begun an engagement process to gage community interest in the future land use of the property. |
