Provincial Volunteer Recognition Winner of 2024
On September 18th, 2024, The Province of Nova Scotia hosted the 50th Provincial Volunteer Awards at the Rath Eastlink Centre. The Municipality of Colchester had the honor of being represented by Andrea MacEachern.
Andrea has worked tirelessly to establish, organize and operate Colchester Ringette, a brand-new ringette organization here in Colchester County. Working with Colchester Recreation to secure funding and support with the result that she was able to offer a full season of weekly Ringette for a very low cost. She secured ice, instructors and developed a fun, season long ringette program for youth in Colchester County.
