Volunteer Opportunities - Citizen Appointees for Various Boards & Committees

The Municipality of Colchester is currently seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on various  Boards and Committees for the 2020-2024 term of Council.  Applicants must reside within the Municipality of Colchester (unless noted otherwise below).

Agricultural Working Committee:  1-2 representatives from the farming industry;

Citizens Monitoring Committee (Kemptown Host Community):  3-6 host community representatives (applicants must reside in Kemptown) and 3-6 members at large;

Citizens Monitoring Committee (Wind Turbines): 1-2 citizen representatives from each Greenfield and Nuttby, and three from each Truro Heights and Hilden;

Debert Business Park Advisory Committee:  1 business representative;

Debert Source Water Protection Advisory Committee:  1 business and 1 citizen representative

Flood Advisory Committee: 1 citizen representative;

Tatamagouche Planning Advisory Committee:  3-5 citizen representatives (applicants must reside in the Village of Tatamagouche);

Tatamagouche Source Water Protection Advisory Committee:  1 representative from the Village Commission;

Tatamagouche Water Utility Committee:  3 citizen representatives (applicants must live in the area serviced by the Tatamagouche Water Utility).

Cliffs of Fundy Geopark - Committee Members Needed

The Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark isThe Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark islocated along Nova Scotia’s Fundy shore, from LowerTruro, Colchester County, to Apple River, CumberlandCounty. It highlights and promotes the region’sextraordinary, world renowned geology, archeologyand cultural heritage.

We are currently seeking committee members tojoin one of our many committees to further the workof the Geopark.
