Notice of Intent - Second Reading Chapter 31 - Onsite Water Supply & Septic Program By-law

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of the County of Colchester will consider Second Reading of Chapter 31 – Onsite Water Supply & Septic Program By-law at its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held both in person and virtually via Zoom Webinar.

The proposed Onsite Water Supply & Septic Program By-law is intended to provide a mechanism for property owners to finance improvements to existing potable water supply systems and on-site sewage disposal systems.

The text of the proposed By-law may be inspected or a copy obtained from the Corporate Services Office, 1 Church Street, Truro, or on the Municipality's website at www.colchester.ca.

Colchester Planning Advisory Committee Meeting

 

The Colchester Planning Advisory Committee will meet in Council Chambers (3rd Floor) at the Municipal Building at 1 Church Street at 6:00 pm on August 5, 2026, for a public meeting to review and discuss:

  • Proposed amendments to the Colchester Land Use Bylaw
  • A request to enter into a Development Agreement to permit a grouped dwelling development, consisting of five multi-unit buildings, totalling 260 units on lands located on Vimy Road, PIDs 20068540, 20477196, 20287702, and 20479226
