Stewiacke River Park entrance shelter and flowers

This is a 2 km loop through a beautiful woodland park beside the Stewiacke River.  Stroll under hemlock and pine trees along the river on the river trail, where along this crusher dust path you will pass the playground, picnic shelters and washrooms.

An upland trail (off the crusher dust trail) with a grass surface passes through mixed forest in the upper section of the park, away from the river.

Benches along the trails provide places for rest and relaxation.

Permitted uses: walking, snowshoeing, dogs on leash

Access the trail

Stewiacke River Park: 528 Stewiacke River Park Road, East Stewiacke, NS

The "river trail" begins at the park entrance.

The "upland trail" begins on the left, just past the park gate; start up the hill and veer right and across the footbridge.

Stewiacke River Park is open from mid-May to mid-October, but walkers are welcome year-round. (Visitors must leave vehicles at the entrance in the off-season.)
